Jacinta was recently engaged by Dr. Dieter Wedel one of Germany's Star Film Director's and Intendant of the Nibelungen Festspiele in Worms, as a choreographer for the prestigious festival. Jacinta choreographed and rehearsed the steps, moves, poses and postures required with all 80-cast members, drawing on a wealth of experience. Jacinta worked as an assistant to the opera director Nigel Lowery and choreographer Amir Hosseinpour at the Staatsoper, Unter den Linden Berlin for the production of Rossini's "L' italiana in Algeri". Among other companies, Jacinta has been a guest principal dancer for Katharina Thalbach's opera production of Janacek's "Das schlaue Füchslein" at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, and later on she re-staged the dance scenes as well as performed. Jacinta was a personal representative and assistant to Jochen Ulrich. In Europe and in Australia, Jacinta gives ballet training for professionals and students. Jacinta's ballet education was at the Victorian College of the Arts School of Dance in Melbourne, Australia. Her first engagement was with Basel Ballet under the artistic direction of Heinz Spoerli and Youri Vàmos, and afterwards with the ballet at the Deutsche Oper Berlin under the artistic direction of Ray Barra and Richard Cragun. Jacinta worked in soloist roles with Paul Taylor, Judith Jamison, Mats Ek, Maurice Béjart, Nacho Duato, Glen Tetley and John Neumeier. Jacinta was engaged as a guest soloist with Tiroler Landestheater Tanztheater under the artistic direction of Jochen Ulrich. |
